Privacy policy.
What we collect, why, who processes it, and the rights you have — in plain English.
Effective August 14, 2026. This page changes when our data practices change, never silently.
Who we are
Omzig Incorporated (“Omzig”, “we”) is a managed intelligence provider in Jupiter, Florida, USA. Omzig is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. For anything in this policy — questions, access requests, deletion requests, or complaints — contact us:
- Email: hello@omzig.ai
- Phone: 561-295-8672
- Post: Omzig Incorporated, 5500 Military Trail, Suite 22-398, Jupiter, FL 33458, United States
Email marketing — Omzig Bytes
Omzig Bytes is our weekly email: one Microsoft 365, Copilot, Azure, or security move you can make that week. Here is exactly how we treat it.
- You opt in. We only send it to addresses submitted through the signup form on this site. We do not buy, rent, scrape, or append email lists, and we never add someone because they emailed us or became a client.
- Legal basis. Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Pressing “Subscribe” is the affirmative action that gives it; you can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it.
- Unsubscribing. Every edition carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We process removals immediately and in all cases well inside the ten business days US CAN-SPAM and Canadian CASL allow. You can also reply to any edition, or email hello@omzig.ai, and we will remove you by hand.
- What we store. Your email address, and the date and source of your signup so we can evidence consent. Nothing else — the form asks for nothing else.
- Who sends it. Brevo, acting as our processor, from hello@omzignews.com. Unsubscribing removes you from their copy of the list too.
- Postal address. Omzig Incorporated, 5500 Military Trail, Suite 22-398, Jupiter, FL 33458, United States — included in every edition, as US and Canadian law require.
- No transactional trickery. Marketing goes only to subscribers. If you contact us about a project, that is a separate conversation and does not subscribe you to anything.
The short version
- We collect only what you type into this site, plus optional analytics that stays off until you allow it.
- We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is no advertising on this site.
- We honor Global Privacy Control signals automatically.
- Every form tells you where it goes before you press send.
What we collect, and why
Things you choose to send us
- Contact form: name, work email, phone (optional), company (optional), team size, urgency, and your message. Used only to respond to your request — the form includes its own consent checkbox. Legal basis: your consent and steps prior to a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a), (b)).
- Quote request (pricing configurator): your name, business name, work email, and phone if you give it, together with the configuration you built. Used to prepare and send the quote you asked for and to answer questions about it — that is the service you requested, so it does not depend on you agreeing to marketing. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). The marketing box and the phone-contact box are separate, optional, and never pre-ticked; if you tick the marketing one we record the exact wording you were shown and when, and consent alone is the basis for that (Art. 6(1)(a)). Your quote link carries your business name and the configuration, but never your personal name, and we keep those parameters out of analytics.
- Booking: the “Book a meeting” flow runs on Microsoft Bookings, a Microsoft 365 service, under Microsoft’s own privacy terms.
- Job applications: name, email, résumé, and anything you add. Used to evaluate your application and kept only for the hiring process. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Omzig Bytes newsletter: your email, used to send the newsletter you asked for. Every edition includes an unsubscribe link. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), withdrawable any time.
- AI assistant: the questions you type, and — only if you ask for a human follow-up — the name and contact details you provide. Processed to answer you and route the follow-up. Please don’t put passwords, patient information, or other confidential data into the chat.
Things collected automatically
- Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics 4, which sets first-party _ga cookies and reports page views and interactions. It is off by default — it loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”, and a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser counts as a standing no. Google states GA4 does not log or store IP addresses. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Hosting logs: our host (Microsoft Azure) keeps standard server logs for security and operations. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure service (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Things that never leave your browser
Your theme (omzig-theme), motion preference (omzig-motion), whether you’ve seen the chat hint (omzig-chat-seen), and your consent choice itself (omzig-consent) are stored in your browser’s local storage only. They are strictly functional and are not transmitted to us.
Who processes data for us
We use a small set of processors, each only for the purpose shown: Microsoft Azure (website hosting, form handling, and the Azure OpenAI Service that powers the AI assistant — Microsoft does not use this data to train its models), Google Analytics (analytics, only after consent), Brevo (newsletter delivery), HubSpot (customer relationship records), and Azure Communication Services (email/SMS delivery of your requests to our team). Where these providers move data internationally, they rely on recognized safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards — for example a processor’s Standard Contractual Clauses — by emailing hello@omzig.ai. We never sell your data to anyone.
How long we keep things
“As long as necessary” isn’t a real answer, so here are the actual periods:
- Inquiries and contact-form messages: for the life of the conversation, then retained within our business records for up to 7 years, consistent with U.S. bookkeeping and tax practice.
- Quote requests: the same 7 years as any other inquiry, because a quote is a business record. Where you gave marketing consent, the consent record is kept for as long as we rely on it, plus 3 years after you withdraw — that record is the only thing that proves we had permission.
- Job applications and résumés: for the hiring process and up to 12 months afterwards, so we can consider you for a later opening — ask us and we delete them sooner.
- Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record afterwards so we don’t accidentally re-add you.
- Analytics: only if you allowed it, and for no longer than 14 months — the maximum user-level retention Google Analytics permits. Aggregate reports contain no identifiers.
- Chat messages: processed to answer you and not stored by us as a transcript; if you request a human handoff, the details you provide are handled as an inquiry (above).
When you ask us to delete something (below), we do.
Your rights
Everyone: email hello@omzig.ai to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We answer without drama.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland: you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection under the GDPR, plus the right to withdraw consent at any time (it won’t affect processing that already happened) and to complain to your local supervisory authority.
California: you have the right to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” — we do neither. We honor Global Privacy Control as a valid opt-out signal. We never discriminate for exercising rights. Authorized agents may submit requests via the contacts above; we verify requests by matching the details you provide against what we hold.
Cookies & local storage
| Name | Purpose | Set by | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics — distinguishes visitors and sessions. Only ever set after you allow analytics; declining or withdrawing expires them. | Google (first-party cookie) | Up to 2 years (Google’s default) |
omzig-consent | Remembers your analytics choice so we stop asking. | Omzig (local storage) | Until you change it or clear your browser |
omzig-theme, omzig-motion | Your light/dark and motion preferences. | Omzig (local storage) | Until you change it or clear your browser |
omzig-chat-seen | Stops the assistant hint reappearing once you’ve seen it. | Omzig (local storage) | Until you clear your browser |
The four omzig-* values are strictly functional, stay in your browser, and are never transmitted to us. No advertising, tracking, or profiling cookies are used on this site at all.
Change your mind any time: .
The AI assistant, honestly
Answers in the chat are AI-generated by the Azure OpenAI Service on Omzig’s private instance. The service key stays server-side; the assistant cannot touch any customer’s Microsoft environment; and a human takes over whenever you ask. AI answers can be wrong — verify anything that matters, and for emergencies call 561-295-8672.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect children’s data; if you believe we have, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Security
Everything is served over HTTPS with a strict Content-Security-Policy; form handling runs server-side in Azure Functions; secrets are never present in the browser.
